May, May, May… yes, it is May already and may all things be progressing in a positive way for you. Despite continuing challenging circumstances, there are some impressive initiatives and programs underway and a bright light at the end of the Covid tunnel ahead. We celebrate a grand final win and share inspiration of the impact our clients are making, and take a closer look at the details surrounding their success. Plus, we give you access to our super popular webinar on selecting captains, the latest 5-minute video on compatibility and lots more.

CELEBRATING CLIENT SUCCESS

Firstly, breaking news… Over the weekend, we celebrated the Queensland Reds winning the Super Rugby Grand Final for 2021. After making it to the final last year, their persistent commitment, hard work, and fight to the end paid off to bring the trophy back home for the first time in 10 years. We are incredibly proud and honored to be part of their team. Go Reds! Follow some of the social media here.

Darren’s contribution to Western Australia’s basketball program reflects his approach to developing and supporting athletes as they ‘form’. He explains that essentially his role is “to help athletes understand themselves, their teammates, coaches, and managers, so they can be more effective with their communications and be able to better adapt to situations.”

QUOTES TO INSPIRE YOU

We’ll leave you with our popular quotes section of our newsletter, this time, in line with the release of our Women in Sport edition of People+Sport Magazine, we’re featuring some of our team’s favorite quotes:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be?… As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence actually liberates others.”

Marianne Williamson, Author

“The one thing you learn is when you can step out of your comfort zone and be uncomfortable, you see what you’re made of and who you are.”

Sue Bird, Basketballl

“If you don’t risk anything, you risk even more.”

Erica Jong, Author

“You will teach them to fly, but they will not fly your flight.

You will teach them to dream, but they will not dream your dream.

You will teach them to live, but they will not live your life.

Nevertheless, in every flight, in every life, in every dream, the print of the way you taught them will remain.”

Mother Teresa
