Athlete Assessments' December 2021 Update

Highlights of the Year

If you have the feeling of FOMO (fear of missing out), we’ve got you. Or, if you simply want to recap on the best from this year, again we’ve got you. To round out 2021, we’ve put together the top three things you’ll love to be across (and not miss out on). Welcome to our holiday update and last newsletter for 2021. Here are our top three resources from this year!

#1 Our WEBINARS were hugely popular, with each one breaking the previous one’s record for registrations

Past-Webinars-Mockup-stacked

Continuing with our open webinar series hosted by Bo Hanson, this year we mixed things up a bit, having special guests and topic experts join us. This year's topics included, 'Choosing Captains and Leadership Development within your Team', 'Return, Reset, Restart Your Team Culture', 'Cautionary Tales and Exemplary Team Strategies', and 'Coaches Who Lift Coaches'.

#2 PEOPLE+SPORT MAGAZINES cover real-life experiences and strategies of the best in the business. This year, we had three special editions, focused on the topics most asked for.

If you're wondering why our magazine is called People+Sport and not the other way round. The answer is simple and the reason deliberate, because people come first. This year we brought our magazines back, featuring special editions focusing on Women in Sport, Sport Management Education, and most recently, Coach Development.

#3 UPDATED AND NEW DESIGN OF THE ASSESSMENTS REPORTS and so much more regarding our assessments:

New look DISC Profile Reports

Continuing with the theme of out with the old and in with the new, in July we launched our new look suite of DISC Profile Reports. The same high quality DISC Profiles developed exclusively for sport that you know, with a new design you will love.

Independent Statistical Analysis of Athlete Assessments' DISC Profile Reports

In July, we also engaged the Assessment Standard Institute (ASI) to re-analyze the reliability and validity of our DISC Profile assessments, to ensure continued compliance with industry standards. We are proud to advise that ASI, through third-party evaluation, certifies Athlete Assessments’ DISC Profiles meet or exceed generally accepted standards for Data Reliability and Construct Validity, as measured by accepted industry standards.

QUOTES TO INSPIRE YOU

We’ll leave you with our popular quotes section of our newsletter…

“There’s no substitute for hard work. If you work hard and prepare yourself, you might get beat, but you’ll never lose.”

– Nancy Lieberman

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving forward.”

– Albert Einstein

“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

– Martin Luther King Jr

As we look back on the year, we also wanted to share one a quote from one of our clients that truly inspired us during our reflection.

“The lessons learned from self-reflection go far beyond what you can learn in a book, or from what someone else tells you.”

Jody Langdon (Professor of Exercise Science and Coaching, Georgia Southern University)

And remember, there are hundreds more to be found in The Big Book of Inspirational Quote for Sport.

And if you are still reading at this point, thank you for your dedication and commitment! As always, please feel very welcome to reach out with anything we can do to contribute to your success in sport.
