No matter how prepared you are for your season, you are bound to encounter some conflict, personality clashes and communication breakdowns. In this presentation Bo Hanson discusses how to best organize your Pre-Season to minimize the effect of these issues when it matters most- in competition!

Starting with a review of the Stages of Team Development followed by an explanation of the GRIP and DISC Models, this five-part presentation shows you how to confidently navigate your way through the season with the very best chance of success.
Part 1
In Part 1 of the People Side of Sport and Your Pre-Season Presentation, Bo Hanson begins by introducing the first critical model, the Stages of Team Development Model. Part 1 is especially focused on the first Stage of Team Development, Stage 1: Forming, as well as the concept of Starting on the Same Page.
Part 2
In Part 2 of the People Side of Sport and Your Pre-Season Presentation, Bo continues discussing the Stages of Team Development. The second critical model of this Webinar, the GRIP Model is then discussed. Part 2 targets the final three Stages of Team Development, Stage 2: Forming Stage 3: Norming and Stage 4: Performing, as well as the GRIP Model, discussing Goals, Synergy and Trust in Teams.
Part 3
In Part 3 of the People Side of Sport and Your Pre-Season Presentation, Bo Hanson explores the Goals, Roles and Interpersonal Relationships of the GRIP Model in more depth. In Part 3 Bo also focuses the importance of the 1%.
Part 4
In Part 4 of the People Side of Sport and Your Pre-Season Presentation, Bo introduces the third critical model of this Presentation, the DISC Model. Part 4 focusses on the Dominance and Influence Styles of the DISC Model, and how athletes from Generation Y require different coaching to the ‘traditional styles’.
Part 5
In Part 5 of the People Side of Sport and Your Pre-Season Presentation, Bo Hanson discusses the Steadiness, and Conscientious Styles of the DISC Model. Bo also talks about the behavioral conflicts that are present within the different DISC styles.
